Weight Loss Foods Biography
Source:- Google.com.pkType: Diets / Diet Supplements / A product of France especially designed for individuals living a hectic and busy lifestyle in today's modern day. It is a convenient and effective way to lose the excess pounds and also rid the body of toxins
Having drank far too much and eaten too many Heinz backed bean pizza’s (very nice do try one) I have been feeling a bit ‘floopy’ (technical term for crappy). I felt tired all the time and looked like I’d just been dug up.
A bit of research suggested I try the Bio Light 3 day Detox. Most of the alternatives to this meant a 7 day course (not bloody likely), or regimes that were more specifically for loosing weight.
Whilst the Bio Light has been included in the diet section of Dooyoo this is not the primary function of the plan. The blurb states the detox can
‘Provide your digestive system with a kick start and when taken in conjunction with the enclosed eating plan can better help your body to cope with eliminating toxins and stubborn fatty deposits.’
Aside from the ‘stubborn fatty deposits’ which made me sound like the hob on the cooker this was exactly what I was looking for, and lets face it if it didn’t really work I believed that it might and that’s half the battle.
So I trundled off to Holland and Barratt parted with, gasp £12.99, and walked home clutching my 200ml bottle. I read the leaflet and it recommends a diet of certain veg and fruit, brown rice, wholemeal pasta and certain types of meat or Quorn (or interestingly on the exterior of the box ‘Quark’ – was he not in Deep Space Nine?). So off to Asda to purchase my veg – I hate veg and tried to figure out how I could live for three days on mushrooms and onions, the only two listed I felt I could actually eat. Strangely peas, potatoes, kidney beans and anything else with any flavour were not included.
So I’m set up with my brown goo in a bottle, lime flavour apparently but tastes like flat coke. You mix 1/3 of the bottle per day with 2 2/3 pints of filtered water and sip throughout the day. You can have 3 meals, breakfast of some weird concoction they suggest on the
leaflet of any whole-wheat cereal, and a dinner and lunch of a protein, pasta or rice or similar as suggested and veg. Prohibited foods include bread (apart from rye bread) salt, meat flavourings, cakes, biscuits, processed foods, coffee and alcohol.
Yum.
The first day went quite well. The liquid gave me a headache, but this was one of the possible side effects along with spots, fluid retention and a change in bowl habits (mine has now started gambling). This I could cope with but the food… god the food. I hate anything bland, thank god you’re allowed garlic, there wasn’t a vampire in the county who was safe I covered everything in it just to get some flavour.
The second day I would have stepped over a dying man to get a snickers and nearly killed my boyfriend but I was feeling better. My stomach was flatter and I felt a bit more bouncy. I had lost 2 pounds, although this wasn’t my aim.
The third day I got a spot, I never get spots but I took small comfort in the fact this meant it was working. The constant diet of veg was playing havoc with my digestive system but I felt even better than on day two. I was desperate for a cup of coffee and I don’t even drink coffee so I feel sorry for anyone who is a caffeine addict the withdrawal must be hellish.
Overall I think it was a success. You are supposed to follow the eating plan for another four day, but this is to standardise any weight loss and I’m not concerned about my weight. So for the safety of those around me I went back to my old habits. This worked for me but I’m not so sure about anyone who wants to loose weight by following a detox plan. The leaflet recommends following two courses of the plan followed by four days of healthy eating for any significant weight loss. You would have to be a brave person to put up with that for ten days. I’m not that brave.
I purchased some Bio-Light from Boots because it was on offer, I believe I paid about £3 for a 200ml bottle which should have been around £10.
Bio-Light is a 3 days detox formula and is available in several flavours, I purchased the woodland fruits flavour.
Bio-Light comes in a glass bottle with a security lid. The liquid must be consumed in 3 doses and to help you there are markers down the side of the bottle so you can easily divide the liquid.
To use Bio-Light you mix 1/3 of the bottle with 1.5 litres of either filtered tap water or bottled water/minneral water. Through the day you drink the mixture. You do this for 3 days.
I found that a thick ring formed around the top of my bottle ( it looked rather disgusting ) so I had to give it a good shake each day before I used it. The mixture is a really dark browny purply colour and unfortuntly when mixed in with water it resembles dirty pond water!! Not very appealing at all, but of course we must suffer for beauty and health!
To be honest I did not find the flavour to be too bad, well okay it was a bit yucky, but not as awful as I had heard it is, it was a little fruity but had had a bitter after taste and it made my mouth feel funny as it left a sort of residue behind. You need to sip the drink throughout the day rather than drink it all down in one sitting, so you can't even down it and get it over with unfortunatly.
As with all programmes of diet or detox its important to each 3 healthy meals each day when using Bio-Light. There is a leaflet in the box which gives you some healthy eating plans and ideas however I did not use that, I just made sure I ate nutritionally balanced low calorie meals.
Whilst using Bio-Light I found that I had to use the loo more frequesntly but Im not sure if that is a result of using Bio-Light or just that I usually drink a lot less water than I should and because I was using Bio-Light I consumed and extra 1.5 litres of water on top of what I usually drink.
I also found I was a bit irritable and my skin went a bit funny, infact I would say my body reacted in a very similar way as when I am pre-menstrual. I can only assume this is because of Bio-Light as it all settled down a day or 2 after I stopped using the product. I do have another bottle still and I am keen to see if I react the same way second time around.
The reason I decided to buy Bio-Light other than its reduced price, was that I was about to start a healthy eating and exercise plan ( Im not keen on the word diet! ) and I wanted to give my body a bit of a kick start and clear out toxins etc... so I was really pleased that on the 4th day I weighed myself and found I had lost 4lbs.
Bio-Light is made from herbs, sea kelp, fruits and plants according to the box and it claims that it can more thanb double the effect of eating healthily when used to assist with weight loss.
Im planning on starting my second bottle in a few days and I do reccomend it as it did give my weight loss a kick start last time I used it and I did feel healthier following its use.
Summary: They say things that are good for you tatse bad dont they!
